Two Year Anniversary!

In our second year together we had a lot of major changes in our life! Nick had his first semester as a full-time student while I was working. We were sealed for all of eternity in the Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint in Chicago on December, 19th which just happened to be our “dating” anniversary.  I then had two months off of work where Nick and I were both off at the same time and able to take a long road trip to North Carolina and New York. We found out we were pregnant on Nick’s birthday and began the exciting journey of getting ready to become parents. Nick changed his major for the fourth time, and I got an amazing raise at my job.  We continue to learn more about each other in our second year such as I know Nick isn’t the same type of student I was, so I need to not get on his case so much, and Nick learned that in order to show that he loves me he needs to spend quality time with me, not just sitting next to me playing video games J On our anniversary I was 7 months pregnant and not wanting to do too much, so we just stayed home, rented a movie, and bought all the food I normally don’t let us buy like candy, soft pretzels, mozzarella sticks, etc. It was a great relaxing night together, and we were still in love.

Unfortunately we didn't get a picture on our anniversary, partly because I don't like pictures being 7 months pregnant, but these are our favorite pictures from our second year together!!

Baby Shower's Galor!!

I was lucky with how many showers that people threw me! We got pretty much everything we needed except for a few small things! It was so much fun to reveal that we were having a boy at each shower, playing lots of different games, and just being able to socialize with all the friends and family!

I was so very blessed for all who came and I am so grateful to everyone! It really means so much to me that we had so many people show up to the shower! I love you all and appreciate everything everyone has done for us! Thank you so much :)

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law both helped to throw me a shower for Nick's side of the family. Andi, being on bed rest, made these beautiful elaborate invites! And yes, she did sew yellow thread around the border!! I guess that is what someone bored on bed rest does :)

Then, even though they had just moved into their new house just 3 weeks before my shower, they had everything ready and planned such a wonderful shower! I really did marry into a great family!
Even my little sister-in-laws Elizabeth and Cierra put a game together for the shower as well! The Price Is Right!! So much fun!!

For this gender reveal at this shower, we did a cake reveal! They did a wonderful job of making the cake!

Candy inside :)

Present Time!

My sister Kortnie ended up surprising me by showing up as well!! She was in northern Michigan on vacation and I didn't think she would make it back in time, but she left at 5 in the morning so that she could make sure to be there!!

After the shower both my sisters and I went to the mall in Madison to shop for our birthdays! Since all of us are born in the summer we decided instead of just getting gifts for each other we would go shopping and just buy each other what we wanted and make a fun day out of it! So worth it! I love my sisters both so much!! I am so excited that Kaylee is moving up here to Madison for school!! She will be about an hour closer to me now!! Overall, it was a super long day, but totally worth it!

My three Aunts threw me a shower for my side of our family! They had some really fun games along with a diaper raffle and bringing books instead of a card! All really good ideas :) I am so blessed to have such wonderful Aunts!!

My Aunt Julie made the cute diaper cake and the watermelon baby carriage! So adorable!!
Then I had everyone vote what they thought my baby was going to be and wear a sticker so I could see what people thought! The votes were pretty even! For this shower we had a present that would be the gender reveal.

Unfortunately I don't think anyone understood when I opened the dinosaur stuffed animal that is was going to be a boy. Mom said there was supposed to be a boy outfit in the gift too, but they must have forgotten to put it in there. Oh well, I just ended up holding up the dinosaur and said it is a boy! It worked out just fine even though it wasn't exactly perfect!

There were so many people who came, including one of my cousins I hadn't seen in around 5 years! It was so great to see everyone, I can't wait for our little boy to meet them all!!

I LOVE MY SISTERS :)

My best friend Lauren put together a brunch shower on August 4th at the same location as my work shower. Since Dianne, my coworker, had already reserved the room, she said that we could use the room that morning for my firend shower. This way I was able to get all my IL showers done in one weekend. Yes it was super exhausting, but totally worth it!!

Lauren made some wonderful breakfast foods, and we had a diaper raffle, presents and a lot of chatting! It was perfect for my friend shower :)

All of my girls :) Love them all to pieces!!

For the gender reveal for this shower, I got silly string, wrapped it and took off the top so that no one could tell what color it was. Then everyone got one and we sprayed it everywhere! It was a super fun way to reveal the gender to my friends!

Present Time!!

My sister was taking pictures and since she is also a big soccer player she had to take a picture of our baby's first soccer ball!

Pictures with my friends!
Roomie Pic!! The next time all of us will be together will hopefully be around Christmas! Then after that will be Hilary's wedding in June!!

Megan who was my friend since birth, literally! We have pictures of us together when I was just a few weeks old!

Steph and her baby boy Kayden! So excited for our boys to play together one day!

My friend Raquel!!

A picture of the parents to be :) This is actually a good picture of us!!!

I only work with one other girl at my job, Dianne, so she pretty much knew everything from the beginning! Since I first told her I was pregnant she said that she would throw me a shower along with my boss Tracy who works at the Aurora location. Even though we are the only two at our location, we talk with so many people daily who are at the Aurora office. It was a lot of fun to get together with the girls we hardly ever see, but have a complete relationship with via phone or email! I am so grateful for everyone from my work who came down to my tiny hometown for the shower!

We had some fun games, subway lunch, a diaper raffle and the last gender reveal as well! This gender reveal was like the Berg Shower gender reveal where a present was what revealed the gender. Again, at this shower people didn't really understand, and the outfit was actually blue and said Mommy's Big Guy on the shirt! Future reference to people who want to do a reveal at a shower, don't make a present be the reveal :)

Update on Baby Kiederlen!

Our baby is growing so well that I am measuring farther along than I should be. Since this happened last month too, my doctor said that she wants to get another ultrasound to see if maybe we need to change my due date or be monitoring our baby's size and induce me early. Either way we got to see our precious baby again!!!! And it just so happened that we needed to schedule it on my birthday! Happy Birthday to me :) We were so excited to be able to see our baby again since we didn't think we were going to get another ultrasound!

It was so good to see our baby moving around!! Unfortunately there weren't really any good pictures of him this time since he is bigger and one part of him takes up the whole screen!! The tech said that based on the baby's measurements it is calculating the due date as september 18th, 11 days earlier than what it is at the moment. Even though that is what the tech said, the final decision of whether we push the due date forward or not is up to my doctor who isn't going to change the due date as of yet! Either way our baby will come whether early or late, there is no sure thing with that!! We will definitely try to be prepared and all ready for our little one by September 1st just in case!!

They also want to set up another ultrasound in a month again to measure the head and body since his head is measuring farther along than the stomach and leg measurements. We aren't too concerned considering Nick's side of the family all measured that way and they were all totally healthy!! That was the one question they asked us, if big heads run in either of our families, and apparently they do! I guess we will see what they say at the next appointment with that in mind :)
